Adding a menu to the site

The Menus section in the PublishGo CMS provides flexibility to create menu bar with nested items on your site, easy to navigate with ability to create custom menus for various categories involved. To add a menu, follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the Administrator panel.
  2. From the main menu, choose Website. Then choose Menus.
  3. Click on the Add button.
  4. Specify the required fields.
  5. Click on the Save button.


Below are the different fields used while adding a menu:

Field Description
Name Enter the name you want to assign to the menu.
Menu Type Choose the appropriate menu from the drop down, it can be of type article, classified, forms, gallery and much more.
Parent Menu Choose the parent menu from the drop down, newly created menu will be nestled under it, keep it as No Parent if you intend to use it as a main menu. You can change the sequence of menu items using drag and drop feature from the Website > Menus page.
Display Count This field is applicable for menu type article only, use this to control the number of articles visible on the homepage.
Access to Registered Users Only This field is applicable for menu type article only, select this only if you want articles under this menu accessible to registered site users.
Link URL This field is applicable for menu type link only, enter the URL this menu will redirect to. You can use this for linking menu to the third party sites.
Open Link in New Window This field is applicable for menu type link only, choose this if you want the link to open in new window.
Background Color Make the background color selection from the color picker tool.
Text Color Make the text color selection from the color picker tool.
Active To activate the menu, select this check box.
