Setting up Twitter for automatic posting

PublishGo CMS allows to automatically post the article on your Twitter account. To setup a Twitter account for auto posting, follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your Twitter account and navigate to https://developer.twitter.com/en/apps

2. Click Create an app button.

3. Click on Apply button to create Twitter developer account.

4. Select "Build customized solutions in-house" as a primary reason for using Twitter developer tools and click on Next button.

5. Click on Add a valid phone number and the page opens in a new tab. Click Add Phone Number button to complete verification process.

6. Visit page in previous tab of your browser and click Switch to Individual account link.

7. Select Country and enter name of your account.

8. Click Next button.

9. Enter info in How you plan to use Twitter API like below:
   We are publishing articles on our newspaper website. We have a twitter account. When we publish article on our site we want to automatically publish it on our twitter account with the help of twitter API.

10. Set No for "Are you planning to analyze Twitter data?"

11. Enter info in Please describe your planned use of these features like below:
    When we publish an article on our site we want to automatically publish it on our twitter account with the help of twitter API.

12. Set No for "Do you plan to display Tweets or aggregate data about Twitter content outside of Twitter?"

13. Set No for "Will your product, service or analysis make Twitter content or derived information available to a government entity?"

14. Click Next button.

15. Please make sure your details are correct and click on Looks Good button.

16. Please review and accept the agreement. Then click on Submit Application button.

17. You will receive a confirmation email, please confirm your email address to complete your application.

18. Navigate to https://developer.twitter.com/en/apps

19. Click on Create an app button.

20. Enter App Name like "Daily News"

21. Enter info in Application Description like below:
    When we publish an article on our site we want to automatically publish it on our twitter account with the help of twitter API.

22. Enter your Website URL like http://your-site.com

23. Enter info in Tell us how this app will be used like below:
    When we publish an article on our site we want to automatically publish it on our twitter account with the help of twitter API.

24. Click on Create button.

25. Review developer terms and click on Create button.

26. Click on Key and Tokens tab.

27. Click on Generate button of "Access token & access token secret"

28. You should copy and save the values of Access token & Access token secret since you won't be able to access them again here.

29. Click on Close button.

30. Copy and save the values of API key and API secret key

31. Login to your PublishGo admin panel and follow the below steps:

a. Visit System > Settings page.
b. Click on Integration tab.
c. Expand the Twitter panel.
d. Paste values in API Key, API Secret Key, Access Token and Access Token Secret fields.
e. Click on the Update button to save changes.
f. You can now automatically post article to your Twitter account by selecting Auto post to Twitter option while creating an article.
