Setting up MailChimp for newsletters

PublishGo CMS allows to send a newsletter to the subscribers from your admin panel using MailChimp service. To setup your MailChimp account for newsletters, follow the instructions below:

  1. Visit https://mailchimp.com/

  2. Click on Sign Up button.

  3. Enter Email, Username, password and click on Get Started.

  4. You will receive verification email, please confirm your email address to activate the account.

  5. Select a Free plan to get started.

  6. You will be asked for mandatory info like your name, business name, website URL, address. Enter this info to setup your account.

  7. Select No option if you are asked a question like Do you have a list of email subscribers? We will add subscribers once groups are created so as to sync subscribers and groups with your website data.

  8. Click on the Audience link in top menu bar.

  9. Click on Manage Audience dropdown and choose Signup Forms.

  10. Select Forms Builder option.

  11. Click on Forms and response emails dropdown and choose Unsubscribe success page option.

  12. Enter below URL in Instead of showing this unsubscribe successful page, send subscribers to another URL. Make sure to replace your-site.com with your sitename.

    http://your-site.com/unsubscribe

  13. Click on the Save button.

  14. Navigate to your name on the top right corner of your Mailchimp dashboard and choose Profile.

  15. Click on Extras > API Keys option.

  16. Click on Create a Key button.

  17. Copy API Key value and login to your PublishGo admin panel:

a. Visit System > Settings page.
b. Click on Integration tab.
c. Expand the MailChimp panel.
d. Paste the copied key in API Key field.
e. Click on Update to save the changes.
f. You can now send newsletter from Community > Newsletters page using Compose option.
