Creating an article

The Article section in the PublishGo CMS allows you to create articles and group them under respective menus. Tasks like multiple image uploads, auto posting the content to the linked social network sites, including them in sliders or tickers and much more can be achieved from here. To create an article, follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to the Administrator panel.
2. From the main menu, choose Content. Then choose Articles.
3. Click on the Add button.
4. Specify the required fields.
5. Click on the Save button.

Below are the different fields used while creating an article:

Field	Description
Title	Enter the title you want to assign to the article.
Section	Choose the desired menu for which article is to be published. New menu can be added from Website > Menus page.
Summary	Input summary of the article from here. Full article is displayed if this field is kept empty.
Content	Input the body of the article from here, directly type or export from other sources. HTML editor can be used to obtain desired results, like inserting images, making hyperlinks, formatting articles and much more.
Summary Image	Upload the image which users comes across upon landing on your site, this image is displayed on article listing page where multiple articles are displayed with Read More link.
Full Article Image	Upload the image which users comes across upon clicking on Read More link, this image is displayed on full article page.
Image Alignment	Alignment for both summary and full article image, can be controlled from Align drop down list.
Caption	Input the caption for both summary and full article image.
Author	Choose the author of the given article from drop down. New author can be added from System > Authors page in the main menu.
Keywords	Enter comma-separated list to add meta keywords.
Access to Registered Users Only	If you want article accessible to registered site users only, select this check box.
Promoted to article slider	To display the article in slider, select this check box.
Promoted to news ticker	To display the article in ticker, select this check box.
Allow Comments	To allow users to comment on the article, select this check box.
Auto Post to Facebook	For automatically posting the article on your Facebook page, select this check box. Integrate your site with Facebook account from System > Settings page in the main menu. Refer setting up Facebook for automatic posting for detailed steps.
Auto Post to Twitter	For automatically posting the article on your Twitter feed, select this check box. Integrate your site with Twitter account from System > Settings page in the main menu. Refer setting up Twitter for automatic posting for detailed steps.
Start Publishing	Set date in calendar to publish the article.
End Publishing	Set date in calendar to remove the article from front end.
Active	To make the article live, select this check box.
